Our
proximity to
the beaches, and to
the center of Hyannis, "the metropolis
of Cape Cod", gives our guests a distinct advantage ... the infamous
Cape Cod traffic is not a factor in our location.
The hustle and
bustle of Cape Cod's Main Street, (Hyannis) is a minute or
two by car, about a ten minute walk. The picturesque beaches and harbor,
where the Island ferries leave , for Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard,
are an easy stroll through our residential neighborhood. Sailboat races,
swimming, and boating in Nantucket Sound are a block away.
Hyannis is truly where the action is
on Cape Cod. Major shopping, entertainment, including the renowned
Cape Cod Melody Tent, and a wide selection of restaurants and lounges
crowd the Main Street area. Numerous recreational facilities, including
golf, miniature golf, and tennis are all within short range. Hyannis
also offers a variety of tourist attractions, most notable of which
are the Kennedy Compound and the Kennedy Memorial. If you were a Cape Cod seagull, this is what you would see:

All public
transportation centers for Cape Cod are in Hyannis, with Barnstable
Airport, the bus and railroad stations within a mile of Captain Gosnold
Village. Connections to and from Boston and New York are made in Hyannis.
Provincetown, Woods Hole and points in between are within an hour's
drive (depending on traffic!). Boston is a little more than an hour
by car, with daily bus and train service regularly scheduled. Our
location allows for a vacation in the fullest sense, minimizing the
stress of traffic and of driving "to get there" ... at Captain
Gosnold Village, you ARE THERE! Whether
you are a couple, a family, part of a family reunion, wedding
or other gathering, you'll find our community of cottages
(if you're not a Cape Codder, you'll call them cabins) just
right. Captain Gosnold Village operates just like any
hotel or motel, but in a quiet, residential setting with
little traffic.
